Who we are
Four Oh Four Digital provides Pointer Escape and is responsible for the personal information we process for the game. Contact fourohfourdigital@gmail.com about privacy or your information.
This policy covers the no-login release of Pointer Escape for iOS and Android. The game is intended for people aged 13 or over. Players under 18 need permission from a parent or guardian. Contact us if you believe a child under 13 has provided personal information.
Your progress stays on your device
There is no game account or sign-in. The app saves your levels, attempts, coins, hints, cosmetics, settings and retry balances on your device. It also keeps an installation identifier and a record of credited purchases to avoid granting the same purchase twice.
This release does not send your game save to our API, use account email services or send gameplay analytics to Mixpanel. It has no advertising SDK or advertising-based tracking. Playing downloaded levels does not need an internet connection; loading prices, buying retries and checking purchases do.
Progress and unspent retries cannot be recovered after deleting the app, losing its data or moving to another device. A store purchase is not a cloud backup of your game save.
Purchase information
Apple or Google handles payment. We do not receive your full payment-card details. RevenueCat supplies the purchase service used to load products, recognise transactions and deliver retry packs.
The app gives RevenueCat a randomly generated installation-based customer identifier, not your name or email address. Purchase processing can include the store, product and transaction identifiers, quantity, purchase time, receipt or purchase token, and whether a transaction is a test or real purchase. RevenueCat also processes technical information such as device type, operating system, IP-derived location and last-seen time.
We use these records to fulfil purchases, investigate missing items and prevent duplicate grants. Purchase fulfilment is necessary to perform the purchase contract. Fraud prevention and support rely on our legitimate interests in operating a reliable service; legal record-keeping relies on the applicable legal obligation. We do not use purchase records for advertising.
When you contact us
We receive your email address, message and any attachments you send to support. You can provide the Support ID shown in Menu → User info so we can identify the relevant purchase customer. Include only information needed for the request; do not send passwords, authentication codes or full card details.
We use this information to answer your request and investigate problems. We do not add support contacts to a marketing list. Responding to requests and keeping a record of their resolution serves our legitimate interests in supporting players.
Providers and international processing
Information needed for purchases is processed by RevenueCat and the store you use. Support correspondence is handled through our email provider. Apple and Google also process payment and store-account records under their own privacy policies. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to protect people or investigate fraud.
RevenueCat is based in the United States. Providers may process information outside the UK or your country of residence. RevenueCat’s data processing terms, including the UK International Data Transfer Addendum to the EU standard contractual clauses, cover the purchase information we transfer to it. For other providers, we take appropriate measures to protect your information in line with this policy and applicable law.
How long information is kept
Local progress remains in the app data on your device until that data is removed. Resetting a journey does not delete your whole save or purchase history.
Purchase records are used for purchase delivery, support, duplicate prevention and any applicable dispute or legal record-keeping requirements. Store records remain subject to Apple’s or Google’s retention policies. Deleting local app data does not delete records held by those providers or RevenueCat.
We keep support correspondence and our RevenueCat purchase records only as long as necessary to answer requests, deliver and support purchases, prevent duplicate grants, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes and enforce our terms. Contact us to ask about a particular record or request deletion.
Your rights and choices
Depending on applicable law, you can request access, correction, erasure or a portable copy of your personal information, restrict processing or object to processing based on legitimate interests. Email us to make a request. We may ask for information needed to verify ownership before releasing or deleting records.
We will explain any legal reason that prevents us from fulfilling all or part of a request. You can complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office or your local data-protection authority. We will date policy updates and explain material changes where required.
